✦Purpose

Conservation

Tourism with a duty of care — and a refusal to overstate what Dolphin Rangers has already achieved.

Dolphin monitoring

Occurrence notes and careful observation during operations. Monitoring language on this site is operational, not a claim of a published population study.

Biodiversity documentation

Birds, habitat structure and seasonal change recorded as field notes that can support partners — never as fabricated inventories.

Citizen science

A future reporting layer for trained guests. Not yet a live public database. Architecture is reserved for sightings and reports that meet a protocol.

Responsible boating

Speed, approach angle, engine manners and guest briefings are conservation tools. They are also hospitality.

Pollution awareness

Plastic, fuel and waste on a working river. We brief guests and keep our own craft clean. We do not claim a watershed-scale programme we do not run.

Wildlife disturbance reduction

No chase, no swim, no feed, no crowding. If an outing cannot be run ethically, it is not run.

Environmental education

Interpretation for travellers, schools and universities — accurate, modest, Assamese in context.

Community participation

River communities already live with the Brahmaputra. Conservation that ignores them is tourism in costume.

Field notes

The river, occasionally, in your inbox.

Seasonal notes, expedition windows and conservation writing. No fabricated sightings. Unsubscribe at any time.
